"Pushing a Cart"

Today in I received a drawn postcard from China through an official exchange, which shows the work of a person and has been on the way for a whole month. There are 5 different stamps used on the card, including flowers and how children play, which were canceled in the poct office. Theodore made a mistake when writing the ID of the number, so I could not register the postcard and turned to the official website, after which I was provided with the true ID. 

Xu Beihong's "Pushing Cart", this kind of theme is unique in Xu Beihong's works, and there seems to be no repetition in his handed down paintings. However, if you compare it with its giant "Poetry of the Six Dynasties", it is not difficult to see that it is a close-up of one of the three characters in the picture. The author took the part of the old man pushing the cart in "The Poetry of the Six Dynasties", added the special treatment of the distant mountains and the foreground mountain road, and added some inscriptions and postscripts to form a "Pushing Cart" with a complete composition and a prominent theme. This lot was purchased by the current owner in the 2007 Autumn Auction of Sotheby's Hong Kong Limited on October 6, 2007, catalog number 283.
