Another beautiful postcard from Holland. Heleen was send this beautiful ChromaZone publishin's windmill card #CZH296. Card with Kinderdijk windmills. The outstanding contribution made by the people of the Netherlands to the technology of handling water is admirably demonstrated by the installations in the Kinderdijk-Elshout area. Construction of hydraulic works for the drainage of land for agriculture and settlement began in the Middle Ages and have continued uninterruptedly to the present day. The site illustrates all the typical features associated with this technology – dykes, reservoirs, pumping stations, administrative buildings and a series of beautifully preserved windmills. This beautiful France lighthouse was sent from Germany by an emigrant from Ukraine, who temporarily took refuge there. It is sent from the beautiful Bavarian town of Landshut, which I visited in 2006 on my way from Regensburg to Munich.

Today I received next postcard from the Lighthouses of the World series. It was sent by Lana from Petrozavdosk, Karelia. From there where this lighthouse is located. The lighthouse, 16 meters high, is located on the eastern coast of Lake Onega. It provides signal visibility at a distance of 14.8 km. Postcard publishing house postaljack. Too bad it's not cancelled.
